Everything is chemistry! The air we breathe, the water we drink and the clothes we wear are only some examples of chemistry in our life. The impact of this science is forgotten most of the times. EYCN, the German Jungchemikerforum (JCF) und the  Association for Chemistry and Economics (VCW), a section of the GDCh, wanted to demonstrate the benefits brought by and the necessity of chemistry in our days. The three organisations offered a prize for the best 12 pictures which stand for the base motive „Everything is chemistry!“.

Many people around the world took part in this contest and a jury selected the best 12 of them. All pictures will be presented to the public at the award ceremony on Wednesday, 01.09.2010, and the awarded pictures will cover the new calendar for the International Year of Chemistry 2011.
